About Pharmacy Adventure
Pharmacy Adventure creates children’s picture books and educational resources that make healthcare topics engaging, accessible, and fun for young children.
Our goal is to help children build early understanding of medicines and health in a way that feels safe, playful, and meaningful.
Join us on a journey to explore health topics through storytelling, imagination, and real-world learning.

Dr Renly Lim, a pharmacist and researcher, is on a mission to empower children and families with knowledge on the safe and effective use of medicines.
She lives in Adelaide with her husband and two young children. When she’s not immersed in research, you’ll usually find her deep in magical storybooks with her kids (or being persuaded to read “just one more”).
Originally from Malaysia, Renly adores Malaysian street food, but she's equally addicted to raspberries and blueberries.
A little about Renly
Hudson's story
Hudson's story reminds us that children are often more aware of their health experiences than we realise. Sometimes, all they need is the right story to help them make sense of what has happened and find the words to talk about it.
One of the most meaningful outcomes of Pharmacy Adventure has been seeing how stories can help children understand and talk about challenging health experiences.
Michelle, whose son Hudson nearly died after a tenfold medication overdose, shared how the book supported her family during their recovery journey:
“Your book is helping him find the words for such a big and confusing experience at such a young age, and I just wanted to say thank you for creating something that gives children a way to talk about their health in a safe and accessible way.
It’s given us a way to have conversations we didn’t know how to start, and I cried last night when he made those comments [about his medicine overdose] because it felt like he finally understood.”
